Fountain Metalworks is a custom metal fountain workshop based in the Tucson Arizona area. However, for many years we have operated under a different business name, Artfully Rogue. It was only in the last couple years that we began the process of splitting the company into two different entities. FMW will solely focus on fabricating custom metal fountains while Artfully Rogue will deal more with sculptural and functional art type products. The videos on this page show how we create our products, including an insightful fountain video, and they are directly from the Artfully Rogue YouTube channel, one of our goals for 2025 will be to launch the FMW YouTube channel which will focus solely on the construction, maintenance and FAQ’s regarding metal water features.
This fountain video is a great example of a client coming to us with an idea for a new water feature. The client saw a photo on Pinterest and asked if this waterfall planter combo is something we could build for her. Like most of our new designs, we began drawing this in SketchUp and working out all of the details for the build on the computer first. We knew that Corten (rusted) was the material to use for the large box but we also knew that it couldn’t be used to actually hold water. For the water basin, we needed to use stainless steel to ensure the fountain would last a long time. Additionally, we filmed a fountain video to demonstrate the process.
The FMW YouTube channel will cover topics like how to winterize your fountain, how to replace a pump, and choosing the perfect metal finish for your project. We have discovered over the years that seeing a fountain video that walks you step by step through the process of tackling a problem is much more effective than talking on the phone or trying to navigate through a troubleshooting document. We will also be able to try out new products that will help you maintain your fountain to ensure it last as long as it possibly can. We hope you find each fountain video helpful and informative.
